Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon is seeking a part-time Attendant to buss tables, clean, sweep and assist guests with self-service kiosks and mobile ordering. You will help keep the dining areas tidy, stock, and handle guest requests with a friendly, energetic attitude.

This role requires good communication, ability to work varying shifts, cash handling, and familiarity with cash registers and payment machines. You will join a fast-paced casino environment and contribute to guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

Serves as technology ambassador, assisting guests with the use of the self-service kiosks or mobile (on Demand) ordering systems.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Tejon their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.* Replenishes and garnishes food as necessary.* Serves food as necessary.* Maintains a neat and sanitary appearance of assigned work area, serving utensils and equipment.* Ensures all dishware, utensils and equipment are cleaned and stored properly at the end of shift* Ensures all unused food items are stored properly.* Maintains work area in a safe condition, taking care of spills and other hazards as necessary.* Ensures that stock delivered from warehouse is put away in proper storage areas in a timely manner.* Ensures that Food Hall is cleaned and maintained throughout shift* Remains current on kiosk/mobile order work flows and assists guests with placing orders, payments, etc.* Process occasional cash or non-cash transactions that are not optimized for self-ordering.* Expedite complete food orders as needed* Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.* Perform other duties as assigned.**QUALIFICATIONS**This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training.**SKILLS*** Present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.* Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.* Ability to restock needed materials and retrieve dropped items.* Use a cash register.* Distinguish between different denominations of currency and make correct change.* Read ticket totals, total credit vouchers and log checks.* Use machines and equipment including, but not limited to: include cash register system, credit card machines, and calculator.**PHYSICAL DEMANDS*** Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.* Ability to walk distances.* Ability to lift 30 to 40 lbs.* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.* The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy.
