Room Attendant Job Description

As a Room Attendant, you will ensure our rooms and suites are always 'fresh and welcoming' for our guests after a busy day at work. Your role is to create a haven for guests to relax or complete last-minute work.

Key Accountabilities

1. Maintain our standards by making each room special and memorable for guests.
2. Assist guests with needs such as providing a toothbrush or directions.
3. Update your supervisor on room service progress and report any repairs needed.
4. Follow established safety procedures at all times and wear protective equipment when necessary.
5. Organize supplies and amenities efficiently, minimizing waste.
6. Reunite lost items with owners and log any lost and found property.
7. Wear your uniform neatly and professionally.
8. Perform ad-hoc duties as required, including deep cleaning and turndown services.
9. Monitor and control supplies and amenities across all housekeeping areas.
10. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure quality and service.

Key Skills & Experiences

• This is a physical role; fitness is essential as you will be on your feet most of the day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds / 23 kilograms and push/pull heavy objects.
• Ability to bend and kneel as needed.
• Basic literacy, numeracy, and reading skills.
• Flexible with shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
