Job summary

Universal Kids Resort is seeking a Pool Attendant to maintain a clean, safe pool environment for guests. You will handle deck maintenance, towel distribution, and high-traffic cleaning tasks to ensure a welcoming experience.

The role requires reliability and the ability to work independently in a busy resort setting, supporting Front Office and Housekeeping during peak times.

Qualifications

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain pool areas, decks, towels, lounges, restrooms, and entrances.
  • Manage towel inventory, sorting, folding, and distribution; replenish as needed.
  • Respond promptly to spills and cleanliness issues to ensure safety.
  • Coordinate with Front Office and Housekeeping during peak periods.
  • Report maintenance needs and safety hazards to the appropriate departments.
  • Assist with light cleaning in back-of-house areas as needed.
  • Follow Environmental, Health & Safety policies and participate in trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation of the hotel pool area, including deck, towels, lounge chairs, restrooms, corridors, and other high-traffic guest spaces. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming and spotless environment for all guests experiencing Universal Kids Resort’s onsite pool. Ensures that all pool areas are consistently clean, well‑stocked, and guest‑ready throughout the day.

Responsibilities
  • Cleans and maintains all pool areas including deck, towels, lounge chairs, restrooms, elevators, and entrances to ensure a spotless and welcoming environment. Ensures the proper use of cleaning agents, equipment, and adherence to appropriate safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Responsible for the inventory, sorting, folding and distribution of towels. Monitors and replenishes pool deck and towel distribution area so it is fully stocked throughout the day. Transports soiled towels to hotel loading dock for third‑party cleaning vendor collection while following all established procedures and safety standards.
  • Responds promptly to guest spills, trash, or cleanliness issues in pool area to ensure safety and guest satisfaction.
  • Works closely with the Front Office and Housekeeping team to support special requests or high‑volume periods.
  • Reports maintenance needs, safety hazards, or damage in public areas to the appropriate departments. Collects lost and found items and delivers to Housekeeping Management for logging and storage in a timely manner.
  • Assists with light cleaning tasks in back‑of‑house or Team Member areas as needed.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures, chemical safety, and sanitation standards in a hospitality or public setting.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, follow cleaning schedules, and respond quickly to cleanliness and guest needs in high‑traffic areas.
  • Experience in custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping roles preferred, especially in a hotel or resort environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and a positive attitude with a commitment to guest satisfaction.

  • Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Experience
  • 3+ months of experience in janitorial, custodial services, or housekeeping is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
