Job summary

Kern High School District is seeking two Attendance Clerks at Highland High School. The roles involve compiling, posting, and maintaining attendance records and related reports, and communicating with students, parents, counselors and teachers about attendance matters. Starting salary is $3,349.57 per month for 10 months, with daily hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Open to internal district employees only.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of attendance accounting methods and basic record keeping.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
• General knowledge of English usage, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
• Ability to learn district rules, regulations and policies and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Compile, post, and maintain attendance records and related reports.
• Contact students, parents, counselors and teachers regarding attendance matters.
• Oversee students assisting in attendance accounting and prepare attendance data and reports.
