Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or higher preferred.
• Successful experience working with students and parents preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between the school, student families and the community.
• Maintain knowledge of school and district procedures and available programs to support truant students.
• Coordinate with administrators to identify parent needs and develop plans to address truancy.
• Facilitate communication between parents and school via calls and meetings to promote attendance.
• Assist in arranging conferences between parents and teachers/teams; interpret at conferences when appropriate.
• Participate in home visits to enhance student success and family engagement.
• Provide information on district resources and community services to re-engage students and families.
• Maintain records and use district systems to track attendance and engagement.
