Job summary

Carlsbad Municipal Schools is seeking a Support Staff member to enforce compulsory attendance laws in the district and manage referrals from all schools to boost opportunities for students through improved attendance.

The ideal candidate will hold a BA in Sociology (or related field), be bilingual if possible, and demonstrate strong human relations and communication skills. A valid NM driver’s license with a good driving record is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• BA Degree in Sociology or related field.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Proven human relations and communications skills.
• NM Driver's License with good driving record. Proof of liability insurance for vehicle if own vehicle is used.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Enforce the Compulaory Attendance Laws of the State of New Mexico and handle referrals from all the schools in the District to increase student educational opportunities as a result of improved attendance.
