Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc. in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking an Atlassian Software Engineer with active TS/SCI w/Polygraph clearance.

This full-time on-site role includes designing, developing, and maintaining tools and services for the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) to support mission customers. You will work with cross-functional teams and leverage Linux, Java, Spring, scripting (Bash/Python/Groovy), and container tech (Docker) to deliver integrated workflows.

Atlassian Software Engineer (Annapolis Junction, MD)

Basic Requirements:

• 7 years of experience as a software engineer
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
• 2 additional years of experience as a software engineer may be substituted for a degree

Job Description:

• The Software Engineer shall be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Tools and Services in support of the Atlassian’s suite of products (such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) collectively known as SUBURBANDEVELOPMENT.
• The Software Engineer shall work closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, system administrators, project managers, and mission customers to deliver seamless integrations that enhance productivity and streamline workflows.

Required Experience:

• Proficiency with the Linux command-line interface (CLI)
• Strong scripting experience (Bash, Python, Groovy)
• Recent Java software development experience in Linux environments
• Experience developing with the Spring Framework
• Proficiency in modern web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
• Experience with containerization technologies including Docker
• Experience with Apache Velocity
• Experience with OpenSearch
• Experience using the Atlassian plugin SDK, to create and extend the Atlassian suite of applications
• Experience creating documentation of configurations, procedures, and system changes

Desired Experience:

• Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools
• Experience with IaC principles and automation tools such as Ansible
• Experience with Cloud technologies

Salary: $230,000 - $240,000 annually
