Job summary

Applied Information Sciences (AIS) seeks a Senior Enterprise Atlassian Engineer to support Jira, Confluence, and Crowd across multi-enclave environments for a national security mission. You will drive modernization, security, and high performance of collaboration platforms while partnering with mission, security, IT, and operations teams.

You’ll manage platform operations, upgrades, backups, monitoring, and compliance documentation, engaging with stakeholders to deliver resilient Atlassian

Qualifications

• Experience administering enterprise Jira, Confluence, and Crowd with focus on workflow design and automations.
• Familiarity with Linux administration and SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Ability to work with federal/high-security or multi-enclave environments and CI/CD practices.

This hands-on role is critical to modernizing and scaling collaboration platforms across multi-enclave environments. You’ll partner with mission, security, IT, and operations teams to deliver resilient, secure, and high-performing Atlassian solutions that drive federal public safety and national security objectivesKey ResponsibilitiesAdminister and scale Jira, Confluence, JSM, and Crowd for daily enterprise operations.Triage and resolve support tickets—from access requests to advanced configuration changes.Improve workflows, fields, dashboards, reports, templates, and permission models.Manage marketplace apps, including installs, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance checks.Oversee access and identity via Crowd, Microsoft Entra ID, and SSO integrations.Run platform operations: upgrades, patches, deployments, backups, logging, and monitoring.Support compliance needs, including ATO documentation, audits, and configuration baselines.Required For This OpportunityActive Top Secret clearanceAbility to work onsite in Washington, DC (5 days/week)Minimum 5 years supporting enterprise IT platforms or collaboration ecosystemsHandson experience administering enterprise Jira, Confluence, and Crowd with focus on workflow design, automations and plugin managementFamiliarity with Linux administration, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and FISMA/ATO complianceStrong written and verbal communication; excels in stakeholder engagement and cross‑team collaboration.Comfortable operating in fast paced, dynamic environments; able to prioritize and deliver under shifting mission needs.Familiarity with Agile/SAFe; able to configure tools to reflect bestpractice delivery models and ceremonies.Nice to Have SkillsExperience in federal/highsecurity or multienclave environments.Experience integrating AIenabled capabilities (e.g., classifiers, intelligent routing) into enterprise collaboration platform.Willing to go through CI polyAt AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member.The targeted base salary range for this role is $100,000-$150,000 per year.
