This role ensures laboratory systems, networks, and data meet DoD and federal cybersecurity requirements while enabling high-performance research for the Advanced Technology Laboratory ( ATL).## Responsibilities* Lead secure IT infrastructure operations, including research networks, compute environments, storage, and endpoint management.* Oversee cybersecurity strategy and implementation aligned with NIST, RMF, CMMC, and related DoD frameworks.* Manage risk assessments, vulnerability management, incident response, and audit readiness.* Ensure compliance with CUI, ITAR/EAR, and sponsor-specific security requirements.* Develop and enforce IT governance, policies, and security procedures.* Lead and mentor IT/security staff; manage budgets and vendor relationships.* Serve as primary liaison to laboratory IT, security offices, and DoD stakeholders.* Other related functions as assigned.## Required Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field.* Eight years of experience in IT and cybersecurity within a regulated or federal environment.* Experience supporting DoD, UARC, FFRDC, or defense contractor programs.* Working knowledge of NIST-based cybersecurity frameworks and accreditation processes.US Citizen.
