Job summary

Wor-Wic Community College is seeking a Director of Athletics and Recreational Services to grow intercollegiate programs and recreational activities on campus. The role includes strategic planning, fundraising, budgeting, staff supervision, facilities management, and representing the college with NJCAA, Region 20 and MDJUCO.

This full-time position requires building partnerships, leading compliance, and ensuring student-athlete well-being and success while engaging with internal and external

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Eight years of athletic administrative experience with at least five years in supervisory/athletic facility management at the assistant director level or higher.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Excellent Microsoft Office, social media, desktop publishing, organizational, customer service, attention to detail, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to advocate for athletic and recreational programs.
• Knowledge of best practices in athletics with emphasis on research, assessment and data-informed decision making.
• Preferred: Master's in athletic administration or related field; experience with NJCAA rules and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Establishes strategic relationships to advance athletics visibility and success; represents the college at NJCAA/MDJUCO events and manages budgets and facilities.
• Develops data-informed long-range plans, recruitment and retention strategies, and oversees game-day operations and information functions.
• Acts as lead athletics compliance official, ensuring compliance with NJCAA/MDJUCO regulations and Title IX requirements; oversees eligibility and monitoring of student-athletes.
