Job summary

City of Florence in Florence, SC is seeking an Athletics Coordinator to plan, organize, and evaluate athletic programs for the Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Department. This role manages day-to-day coordination of programs, leagues, facilities, staff, officials, volunteers, and participants.

You will work closely with league boards to schedule events, communicate policies, and ensure programs run smoothly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Event planning experience helpful.
• Hours may vary to accommodate events, including some Saturdays.
• Valid South Carolina driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate athletic programs and activities for the Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Department.
• Manage day-to-day coordination of programs, leagues, tournaments, facilities, staff, officials, volunteers, and participants.
• Collaborate with league boards to plan and operate programs, establish schedules, and communicate department policies.
• Serve as liaison between the department, league boards, coaches, officials, participants, parents, and community partners.
