Job summary

The University of Texas at Arlington is seeking a Director of Grounds & Maintenance to lead all athletics facilities maintenance and grounds operations. The role ensures optimal field conditions for practices and events, partnering with coaches and external clients to uphold play standards.

You will manage budgets, supervise staff, and coordinate with athletics leadership to align maintenance with event schedules. The position offers flexible work hours and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of relevant experience or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Direct oversight of grounds and maintenance of all athletics facilities, including Maverick Stadium, Clay Gould Ballpark, and Allan Saxe Field.
• Ensures year-round well-kept fields to meet team and externally hosted events’ needs.
• Assist Associate AD/Facilities & Events with budget submission and manages grounds and maintenance operating budget.
• Supervises assigned full time and part-time grounds and maintenance employees.
• Builds and maintains relationships with coaches and rental clients to ensure fields are well kept and up to standards of play.
