Job summary

The California State University in Bakersfield is seeking an Athletics Financial Operations Analyst to provide professional budgeting and accounting support for the Division I Athletics program. You will reconcile accounts, monitor budgets, process financial transactions, and ensure compliance with CSU, campus, NCAA, and Big West policies.

You will administer the Athletics ProCard program, assist with accounts payable, and deliver analytical reporting and cycle-close support to improve financial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training with 3 years of administrative work involving study, analysis, and policy development.
• Experience with budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and CSU policies; ability to apply them to athletics operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison for accounting, budgeting, and variance analysis for Athletics.
• Ensure transactions are recorded properly per campus policies.
• Reconcile sub-ledger reports and prepare journal entries and financial reports.
• Administer ProCard program, travel claims, and accounts payable processes.
• Provide timely financial information for management decision-making.
