Job summary

The University of Arizona Athletics Department invites applicants for the Financial Analyst I role. You will analyze and prepare recommendations for short-term financial planning and forecasting, support budgeting decisions with variance analysis, and assist with financial reports for Arizona Athletics.

The position requires a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and travel as needed, and does not offer visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 1 year of relevant work experience preferred.
Experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct basic research and data analysis from multiple sources.
Assist in preparing regular financial data for departmental units.
Generate reports on departmental expenses and revenues.
Assist in preparing financial forecasts by analyzing historical data and trends.
Assist with financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts.
Accurately record and store financial information.
Assist with completing financial reporting including audits and required reports.
Coordinate programs under leadership guidance.
Maintain budget accountability.
Additional duties as assigned.
