Job summary

Legends Global at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, seeks a retail supervisor to create a legendary fan experience in the on-site Michigan athletics store. You will lead a diverse team, drive sales, maintain merchandising standards, and ensure accurate POS operations during busy event days.

Ideal candidates bring strong customer service and selling skills, readiness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to read plan-ograms while managing inventory and store

Qualifications

• Honesty and integrity in all actions and language.
• Excellent customer service and selling skills.
• Be willing to work extended hours on event days.
• Must be able to work weekends & overtime as needed.
• High school graduate, GED, or equivalent experience in comparable company.
• Accuracy in open & close procedures.
• A key function will be opening or closing a retail store and managing store associates when on duty as retail supervisor.
• Able to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exciting, positive, and fun environment for our diverse team & fan base
• Greet guests & ascertain their interest, so you may make sales recommendations
• Excellent accuracy when using POS systems
• Demonstrate ownership in cleaning, restocking, & any other tasks assigned by supervisor
• Present merchandise to increase sale with add on items
• Must be able to describe merchandise features, benefits, and explain use
• Keep current on promotions & sales in store: and events on the Michigan athletics campus and campus in general
• Maintain inventory, merchandise placement, and accurate counts. Assist in inventory
• Continually increase knowledge of product, facility, and all events held at the store
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Must be able to read & implement plan-ograms
• Assist the store set-up team with the merchandising of event gift shops including plan-ograms, merchandise placement, inventory control, cleaning of shops & fixtures
• Merchandising skills a plus
