Job summary

University of Utah is seeking a Facilities Aide to provide general support for Athletics facilities, events, and outdoor turf operations. You will assist with day-to-day maintenance, event setup/breakdown, and safe, clean facility upkeep across athletic venues.

The role involves assisting full-time staff, supporting sports turf tasks, and ensuring smooth operation of facilities during events and practices on sunny days and in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• One year of related maintenance experience or equivalent (one year education can substitute for two years experience).
• Ability to climb ladders/scaffolding and perform physical work.
• Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with upkeep, cleaning, maintenance, and operation of Athletics facilities and event spaces.
• Support athletic events with setup, breakdown, equipment movement, and related duties.
• Aid sports turf and grounds maintenance including mowing, raking, debris removal, and field prep.
• Help maintain safe, clean, and functional facilities and surfaces for competition/practice.
• Perform other duties to support Athletics facilities, events, and turf operations.
