Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• 5–7 years of major gift fundraising experience with a track record of securing gifts.
• Experience managing a portfolio of prospects and building donor relationships.
• Knowledge of fundraising principles and donor management systems.
• Ability to analyze fundraising data and present insights.
• Experience with donor databases and stewardship activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Lead Athletics fundraising strategies and fundraising for Athletics and university priorities.
• Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, close, and steward major gift prospects.
• Manage a portfolio of 125+ major gift prospects with fundraising goals.
• Develop prospect strategies, proposals, briefings, and donor communications.
• Provide guidance to Athletics regarding donor engagement and timelines.
• Represent University Advancement and Athletics at donor meetings and events.
• Recommend improvements to fundraising strategies and processes.
