Job summary

Youngstown State University seeks an Athletics Development professional to support fundraising strategies and donor stewardship for YSU Athletics. You will coordinate outreach to alumni and donors, assist with campaigns like the Red & White Fund and Penguin Day of Giving, and help strengthen donor relationships at athletic events.

The role covers donor research, reporting, communication materials, and collaboration with Athletics leadership to advance fundraising priorities.

Qualifications

• At least a bachelor’s degree and two years of related and/or equivalent experience.
• Experience in relationship building, customer service, communications, marketing, athletics, sales, fundraising, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assists with developing and implementing strategies to increase philanthropic support for Youngstown State Athletics.
• Conducts outreach to alumni, donors, and prospective donors through telephone, email, personal visits, and athletic events.
• Assists with identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities designed to increase donor participation, retention, and annual giving.
