Job summary

San Diego State University seeks an Associate Athletic Director, Aztec Club to lead leadership annual giving, donor cultivation and stewardship, and programs that strengthen engagement with alumni, former student-athletes, fans, and supporters. You will oversee annual giving and donor benefits while supervising the Assistant Director, Aztec Club.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required with 3–5 years successful fundraising and/or sales experience.
Ability to travel and attend off-campus appointments and events; evenings and weekends may be required.
Experience in donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and donor retention.

Responsibilities

Cultivate, solicit, and steward leadership annual donors, including members of leadership cabinets.
Develop strategies to increase donor giving, engagement, and retention.
Cultivate former student‑athletes and identify prospective major gift donors for Athletics Development.
Work toward established annual fundraising goals and metrics.
Lead Aztec Club operations, annual giving programs, donor benefits and communications, and align with campus partners.
