Job summary

Fordham University in New York City seeks a Director of Athletics Development/Associate Director of Athletics to lead fundraising for Fordham Athletics, partnering with DAUR and Athletics to grow annual and leadership gifts.

This role requires travel, evening and weekend hours, and a track record of securing five-figure commitments while supervising staff and collaborating with university partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional fundraising experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages athletic fundraising via direct marketing and events.
• Develops annual fundraising plans for the Athletics Department.
• Builds and maintains a portfolio of ~100 leadership annual gift and annual gift prospects.
• Solicits gifts at the $25,000+ level with specific solicitation goals.
• Collaborates with the Fordham Fund on athletic-specific Giving Tuesday and Giving Day opportunities.
• Collaborates with DAUR and athletics staff to identify fundraising opportunities.
• Plans and executes cultivation, fundraising, and stewardship events.
• Supports staff development with cura personalis.
