Job summary

University of Dayton is seeking an Assistant Director of Athletics Communications to lead media relations and game-day duties for several NCAA Division I programs. You will help tell student-athlete stories, coordinate communications, and support marketing across platforms.

The role requires strong writing, content creation, and in-game data handling, plus the ability to work nights/weekends and travel with teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; experience as primary athletics communications contact
• Proficiency with TAS/Stat Crew and NCAA Genius
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Proficiency in InDesign and Photoshop
• Game day experience in fast-paced environments
• Multimedia/social media experience and versatility

Responsibilities

• Oversee media relations and game day duties for multiple NCAA programs
• Support game day operations for select home events
• Assist with other sports as needed
• Ensure compliance with University, NCAA, and conference rules
