Job summary

The University of Denver seeks an Assistant Director of Communications & Digital Media to tell the stories of Pioneer student-athletes and programs through press releases, features, social media, and digital content. You will manage media relations, statistical services, and award nominations for multiple sports within the Division of Athletics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years in athletic communications or related role.
• Proven ability to write press releases and feature stories.
• Experience with social media strategy and digital content.

Responsibilities

• Serve as sports information director for assigned sports; write, edit, and disseminate press releases and feature stories.
• Coordinate media relations, social media, and statistical services for home contests.
• Nominate student-athletes for honors and publicize winners across platforms.
• Create and publish digital and social media content for assigned sports.
• Promote revenue-generating opportunities in collaboration with multiple units.
• Maintain trophy/display case updates and coordinate team photo wall and headshots.
