Job summary

City of Garland is seeking a capable professional to develop, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate aquatics and athletics programs, leagues, classes, and special events. You will manage daily operations, ensure participant safety, and assist with marketing efforts.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of related experience, with opportunities to lead staff, manage facilities, and respond to community needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of aquatics and athletics programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee aquatics and athletics programs on a day-to-day basis.
• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise staff, and complete payroll.
• Oversee daily operational needs of facilities, including registrations and field reservations.
• Ensure safety standards and respond to emergencies.
• Teach, coach, or assist with instruction as needed.
• Plan and execute special events, tournaments, and competitions.
• Prepare promotional materials for marketing aquatics and athletics programs.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
