Job summary

The College of St. Scholastica seeks an Advancement Officer for Athletics to help grow athletic gift and sponsorship revenue by developing relationships with alumni, parents, friends, corporations, and donors.

The role reports to the Executive Director of Development with a dual reporting line to Athletics leadership. In collaboration with the Office of College Advancement, this position advances fundraising strategies, supports Athletics Week of Giving, travels as needed, and contributes to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience with office software.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
• Ability to travel throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Advancement staff lead with the Athletics Department and solicit sponsorships and gifts.
• Develop and maintain relationships with corporations, foundations, and individuals including alumni.
• Act as development liaison to coaches, departments and key personnel to achieve fundraising goals.
• Collaborate with Annual Giving and colleagues on Athletics Week of Giving and giving days.
• Attend advancement staff and prospect management meetings and athletic department meetings.
• Develop competence in fundraising and alumni engagement best practices.
