Job summary

University of Portland is seeking an Athletic Training Student Assistant to support the athletic training room operations for Division 1 athletes. You will participate in event coverage, daily room activities, and assist Certified Athletic Trainers, team physicians, and the team physical therapist in treatment and care of student athletes.

Ideal candidates are energetic, self-motivated, reliable, and team-oriented with a strong desire to learn.

Qualifications

• Two 1.5 hour shifts per week.
• Weekly availability for game day setup and breakdown.
• Interest in Healthcare, Health & Wellness, Medicine, or Sports Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Practice and game setup/coverage
• Athletic training room coverage
• Assist with treatments and rehabilitation of athletes
• Scribing/managing Doctor’s clinic
• Other relevant tasks as assigned
