Job summary

The Athletics Department at the University of Central Oklahoma is seeking a student employee to assist the Certified Athletic Trainers in coordinating the Sports Medicine program. This role involves pre-practice/pre-game and post-game duties with potential heavy physical activity.

Responsibilities include setting up for practices, equipment cleaning, attending events, and applying basic first aid, CPR, taping, and cryotherapy within training limits.

Qualifications

• Interest in the medical field.
• CPR/First certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hiring.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up sports medicine needs before practices and competitions.
• Clean and maintain sports medicine equipment, supplies, and modalities after practice and competitions.
• Attend athletic practices and competitions as assigned.
• Provide basic first aid and CPR as trained.
• Apply preventive and protective taping/wrapping procedures within training limits.
• Apply cryotherapy and modalities within training limits.
• Other duties as directed by the athletic training staff.
