Responsibilities

• Recognition, Evaluation and Management of Athletic Injuries: athletic trainer for team(s) per director of sports medicine; coverage for practice, competition, and travel.
• Coordinate and supervise medical care for athletes as assigned by director of sports medicine.
• Initial assessment and treatment of athletic injuries; physician referral as appropriate.
• Regular communication with primary care team physician; communicate with specialty physicians as appropriate.
• Casting and splinting; wound care with removal of sutures/staples on MD order.
• Diagnostic testing appointments; physician appointments; use of therapeutic modalities and exercise.
