Sportsmith in Kentucky is seeking an Athletic Training Assistant to support the sports medicine staff with direct team coverage (home and away) and care for student-athletes.

You will help manage the athletic training room, maintain computerized health records, liaise with the team physician, and pursue continuing education requirements to keep state and BOC certifications, while collaborating with strength/conditioning, nutrition, and sport psychology staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct team and sport coverage (home and away).
• Support day-to-day operations of the athletic training room and ensure proper use of equipment.
• Assist with prevention and care of student-athlete injuries and illnesses.
• Maintain computerized health/injury records for supervised student-athletes.
• Serve as liaison between student-athletes and the team physician.
• Maintain required continuing education to fulfill state and BOC certifications.
• Collaborate with strength & conditioning, nutrition, and sports psychology staff.
