Job summary

High Point University is seeking a full-time, 9-month non-tenure track faculty member in the Department of Athletic Training at the Assistant or Associate rank to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses and support program accreditation.

Responsibilities include preparing course materials, delivering lectures and labs, mentoring students, supervising experiential learning, and collaborating on curriculum development and assessment to advance program quality.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge in athletic training, sports medicine, or related health sciences.
• Demonstrated skills in classroom and laboratory teaching, curriculum design, and student assessment in higher education.
• Commitment to student mentoring, advising, and inclusive education, with the ability to support diverse learners.
• Capacity to engage in scholarly, clinical, or professional activities that contribute to the field of athletic training.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills for effective work within departmental and interdisciplinary teams.
• Relevant professional credentials (such as certification as an athletic trainer and eligibility for appropriate state licensure) are highly beneficial.
• Earned terminal or appropriate graduate degree in Athletic Training or a closely related field, in line with accreditation and institutional requirements.
• Experience with accreditation standards, program assessment, and continuous improvement in health professions education is a plus.
