Medical University of South Carolina's MUSC Health seeks a Certified Athletic Trainer to provide community-based services at a local high school, focusing on prevention, care, coverage, rehabilitation, and referrals for school-age athletes.
This role requires BOC certification, SC licensure, and current BLS; weekend and evening hours are expected to cover practices and games, working under physicians, physical therapists, physician assistants, or nurse practitioners.
The Certified Athletic Trainer (AT) reports to the Sports Medicine Manager. The AT will be assigned to a high school and provide community-based point of service for sports‑related prevention, care, coverage and rehabilitation, referral, and marketing for musculoskeletal injuries and sports‑related ailments within a defined environment for athletes of school age, adolescent, early adult, middle adult and late adult. The AT works under the general supervision of a physician, physical therapist, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner.
