Job summary

Westwood High School in Mesa, Arizona is seeking an Athletic Trainer to support student‑athletes with rehabilitation, injury prevention, and performance optimization. The role requires on‑site work, a strong clinical background, and collaboration with physicians, therapists and coaches.

Required are a Bachelor's degree in athletic training or related field, NATABOC, CPR/AED, 1–3 years of experience, and an IVP fingerprint clearance card. Immediate start; full‑time position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in athletics training, sports medicine, kinesiology or related field.
• NATABOC certification.
• CPR/AED certification.
• 1-3 years of injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation experience.
• Valid IVP Arizona fingerprint clearance card.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages an effective athletic training program for high school and middle school athletics.
• Provides First Aid and injury assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning for student-athletes.
• Provides coverage at home events and practices throughout the fall, winter, and spring.
• Coordinates annual required athletic physicals and supervises clearance of injured athletes.
• Maintains an up-to-date policy and procedures manual and an Emergency Action Plan.
• Communicates with coaches, physicians, and parents regarding injuries and care.
