The position supports the student-athlete experience, coordinates with physicians and Sports Medicine staff, maintains medical records, delivers taping and rehabilitation, and helps with daily operations of the Sports Medicine Department.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates injuries during events and coordinates referrals for timely care.
• Maintains medical records, rehabilitation plans, and referrals.
• Claims forms for student-athletes' secondary insurance.
• Applies taping, bracing, and splinting as needed.
• Provides coverage for practices, games, and events with proper medical supplies.
• Maintains medical clearances and documentation.
• Educates on injury prevention, wellness, and basic health.
• Collaborates with Strength & Conditioning staff to prevent injuries.
• Liaises with the Sports Medicine Office and supports daily operations.
• Attends university events (e.g., Candle Light, Hall of Fame, Athletics Awards).
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.
