UPMC's Sports Medicine is hiring a full-time Athletic Trainer for St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA.

UPMC Sports Medicine is one of the nation’s largest employers of certified athletic trainers, with approximately 200 staff members. As part of our team, you will work alongside world-renowned sports medicine experts in state-of-the-art facilities. Our comprehensive services include physician care, imaging, physical therapy, concussion management, nutrition, and sports performance, serving over 100 professional, college, and high school sports teams across Western and Central Pennsylvania. External/qualified candidates will receive a $15,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment for eligible locations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide athletic training services in accordance with the National Athletic Trainers Association Code of Ethics, BOC Standards of Professional Practice, Pennsylvania State Practice Act, Pennsylvania Rules & Regulations for Licensed Athletic Trainers, and UPMC policies.
  • Conduct evaluations, develop care plans, and implement appropriate treatment and rehabilitation interventions.
  • Deliver one in-service education program annually following departmental guidelines.
  • Maintain and submit incident documentation electronically and in writing as per departmental policies.
  • Build proactive relationships with UPMC services, including CRS facilities, neuropsychologists, and physicians.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development related to sports medicine.
  • Provide athletic training services within contractual guidelines, adhering to UPMC and site-specific Written Protocols and Physician Agreements.
  • Participate in athletic training services at special events sponsored by UPMC Sports Medicine.
  • Contribute to community education programs approved by UPMC Sports Medicine.
