UPMC's Sports Medicine is hiring a full-time Athletic Trainer for St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA.

UPMC Sports Medicine is one of the nation’s largest employers of certified athletic trainers, with approximately 200 staff members. Our team is led by world-renowned sports medicine experts working in state-of-the-art facilities. We offer comprehensive services including physician care, imaging, physical therapy, concussion management, nutrition, and sports performance, serving over 100 pro, college, and high school sports teams in Western and Central Pennsylvania. External/qualified candidates will receive $15,000 with a 2-year commitment for eligible locations.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provides athletic training services following the rules and regulations of the National Athletic Trainers Association Code of Ethics, BOC Standards of Professional Practice, Pennsylvania State Practice Act, Pennsylvania Rules & Regulations for Licensed Athletic Trainers, and UPMC policies.
  2. Performs evaluations, establishes care plans, and selects appropriate treatment and rehabilitation interventions.
  3. Delivers one in-service education program annually according to departmental guidelines.
  4. Maintains, completes, and submits electronic and written incident documentation per departmental policies.
  5. Builds proactive relationships with UPMC services (CRS facilities, neuropsychologists, physicians, etc.).
  6. Engages in professional growth and development related to sports medicine.
  7. Provides athletic training services within contractual guidelines, adhering to UPMC and site-specific Written Protocols and Physician Agreements.
  8. Participates in athletic training services at UPMC Sports Medicine-sponsored events.
  9. Participates in community education programs approved by UPMC Sports Medicine.
