Corewell Health’s Big Rapids Orthopedics team is hiring a full-time Athletic Trainer to work with an Orthopedic Surgeon, a Non-Operative Sports Medicine Physician, and an APP. The role supports Ferris State University partnership as team physician for student-athletes, shaping sports medicine and athlete care.

The position offers full-time hours in a structured outpatient setting with opportunities to contribute to patient education, prevention, and rehab programs, and requires professional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent athletic training or related field.
• Master's degree or equivalent; CAATE-approved athletic training education program or educational equivalent.
• 2 years of relevant experience in athletic training required.
• BOC certification as Athletic Trainer at hire; MI licensure required at hire.
• AHA/ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional assistance and clinical support to ensure quality, evidence-based care.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive health care programs for patients and athletes.
• Injury prevention, clinical assessment, immediate and emergency care, rehabilitation, and athlete well-being under physician direction.
• Travel may be required as part of the role.
