Corewell Health in Big Rapids seeks a full-time Athletic Trainer to support our Orthopedics team, collaborating with an Orthopedic Surgeon, Sports Medicine physician, and APP. The role also partners with Ferris State University where providers serve as team physicians for student-athletes, offering a unique sports medicine experience.

The position focuses on injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation under physician direction, with a typical daytime schedule, 40 hours weekly,

Qualifications

• Required bachelor's degree or equivalent athletic training or related field.
• Required master's degree or equivalent completion of a CAATE approved athletic training education program.
• Successful completion of competency-based orientation.
• 2 years of relevant athletic training experience.
• BOC certification (Athletic Trainer) required upon hire.
• MI Athletic Trainer license required upon hire.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and clinical support to ensure quality care.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive health care programs for patients and athletes.
• Athletic training includes injury prevention, clinical assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and wellness under physician direction.
• Travel may be required.
