Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking an Athletic Trainer to support the Orthopaedic Institute at Mission Bay. The role includes clinical duties, on-site outreach for high school athletes, and administrative project support.

You will work with physicians and staff to deliver sports medicine services, manage patient intake, and assist with education and post-operative care. A collaborative, detail-oriented professional with ATC certification is ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Two years' education and/or experience in the athletic training field.
• Current and in good standing Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC).
• AHA BLS / CPR Certification.
• Knowledge of athletic injury prevention and rehabilitation techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to responsibilities.
• Ability to provide first responder care at athletic events.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support in a specialty clinic and assist with day-to-day operations.
• Room patients, assist intake, and access relevant records for visits.
• Support physicians with patient education and post-operative procedures.
• Assist with daily clinic administration and other assigned tasks.
• Deliver on-site athletic training services for high school athletes.
• Work independently or with staff and physicians to provide sports medicine care.
• Support program and department projects and events.
