Job summary

UCSF Health, AG seeks a qualified Athletic Trainer/Orthotic Fitter for its Orthopaedic Surgery department on the Parnassus Avenue campus. The role combines 90% clinical patient care with 10% brace inventory and project support.

The successful candidate will fit off-the-shelf orthotics, treat a broad range of adult hospital diagnoses, and assist with outpatient care and department projects under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• Current Athletic Trainer certification (BOC) in good standing required.
• Two years of athletic trainer experience in a competitive environment preferred.
• ABC Certified Fitter course, residency, and Certification completed post-employment.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthotic patient care, primarily for adult hospital patients.
• Clinical duties include injury prevention and rehabilitation.
• Manage brace inventory and assist with projects and events.
• Support outpatient care at Parnassus Avenue clinic.
• Communicate with the lead ATC/Orthotic Fitter for clinical guidance.
