Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking an Athletic Trainer to support Plymouth High School athletes in Canton Township, Michigan. You will work closely with HFH sports medicine staff to coordinate medical care and deliver comprehensive athletic training services.

Responsibilities include educating athletes on wellness, collaborating with a team of professionals, and expanding care beyond the school through HFH clinics and community outreach. Eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

  • Board of Certification (ATC) and Michigan state licensure (or eligibility to obtain before hire).
  • Post‑professional master’s degree in athletic training preferred, with two years of experience.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of NCAA, NJCAA, and MHSAA policies; support community outreach programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide athletic training services to Plymouth High School student athletes.
  • Liaise between Henry Ford Health and Plymouth High School to coordinate appointments within HFH.
  • Collaborate with HFH team physician and other healthcare professionals for integrated care.
  • Deliver individualized care to help athletes reach peak performance and promote wellness.
  • Educate on best practices for health and long‑term wellness.

Henry Ford Health is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Athletic Trainer to support our athletes at Plymouth High School in Canton Township, Michigan. As a part of our vibrant community, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the health, performance, and success of our student-athletes.

About Plymouth High School:

Plymouth High School is located in Canton Township, Michigan and is part of the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park (PCEP) along with Canton and Salem High Schools. An MHSAA Class A school, Plymouth competes in the Kensington Lakes Activities Association (KLAA) - West Division. The Plymouth Wildcats field roughly 28 athletic teams and has an enrollment of 1,816 students. The athletic trainer’s primary responsibilities will be at Plymouth High School; however, additional hours outside of the school for Henry Ford Health may be assigned. The athletic trainer will effectively communicate with HFH sports medicine staff and the team physician to coordinate medical care for the Plymouth Athletics community.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide athletic training services to our student athletes at Plymouth High School.
  • Be the liaison between Henry Ford Health and Plymouth High School to help coordinate various appointments within the health system.
  • Collaborate with assigned Henry Ford Health team physician and various healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.
  • Play a hands‑on role in helping athletes reach their peak performance by delivering individualized care for both injuries and overall wellness.
  • Educate on best practices for maintaining health and promote long‑term wellness.
  • Expand your skills by offering services beyond the school, including assisting in physician clinics, community outreach, and engagement events.
