Job Description
Atlantic Health System is looking for Per Diem Athletic Trainers for their Sports Medicine Department. upon completion of successful onboarding, the Athletic Trainer will be responsible for working directly with the medical team comprising of medical doctors, orthopedic surgeons and functional medicine doctors. Provides emergency care and crises management for sport related injuries. Coordinates care for athletes with the rehabilitation team.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Delivers treatment and care to patients under the supervision of the physician.
2. Promotes, develops, and implements safety and injury prevention measures.
3. Provides appropriate injury assessment and care, making referrals to other treatment providers as appropriate.
4. Develops a policy and procedure manual for the athletic training program to ensure compliance with standards of good practice and all relevant rules and regulations.
5. Acts as liaison between patient, physician, and physician office staff.
6. Assists with development of new programs and materials focused on wellness, injury prevention, and fitness for physically active patients (athletes).
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required:
1. Bachelor's of Science degree in Athletic Training or related field.
2. 0-2 years of experience in Athletic Training or relevant area.
3. Licensed ATC state of NJ.
Preferred:
1. 1-3 years of acute experience.
