Job summary

NOMS Healthcare in Sandusky, Ohio, is seeking an Athletic Trainer to support student athletes under the direction of the team physician or a physician's written referral. You will focus on injury prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation to enhance performance and wellbeing.

You will maintain treatment orders, provide services for contests under negotiated school contracts, and act as a liaison among physicians, schools, athletes, and families within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in athletic training.
• 1–2 years of athletic training experience.
• NATABOC certification and Ohio Athletic Trainer license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general treatment orders reviewed annually by the team physician.
• Provide athletic training services for athletic contests per negotiated school contracts.
• Liaise between family physicians, specialists, the school district, athletes and parents.
• Maintain injury records and provide insurance claim forms for sports injuries treated by a physician.
• Develop and maintain a budget for the athletic training program.
