St. John’s Prep is seeking an Athletic Trainer for part-time family leave coverage in the Athletics-Staff team.

The role requires strong communication with students and families, flexibility for evening/weekend hours, and a collaborative approach to student health and safety. The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree with NATA certification, MA licensure, and CPR/First Aid, and be proficient with ImPACT testing and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Advise athletes and coaches on conditioning, diet, rest, exercises, and injury prevention.
• Administer IMPACT testing.
• Provide pre-practice and pre-game taping and wrapping.
• Attend home events and travel with teams as needed.
• Provide first aid for injuries during practice and games.
• Evaluate whether an athlete may continue to participate after injury.
• Maintain injury records and notify parents/physicians as required.
• Collaborate with nurses, strength staff, and leadership.
• Manage training room supplies and inventory.
• Prepare and process medical supplies orders for next year.
