University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH is seeking an Athletic Trainer in Orthopedics - Main Campus to support injured athletes and guide recovery. You will manage care from check-in to check-out, educate patients on home exercise programs, assist with in-office procedures, and collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and staff to optimize patient flow.

Requires Bachelor's in Sports Medicine, Ohio AT licensure upon hire; 1+ year experience preferred; PHI compliance and lifting up to 50

Competenze

Bachelor's Degree in Sports Medicine or related program.
1+ years experience as Athletic Trainer (preferred) and knowledge of general injury prevention and first aid (Required).
Athletic Training Licensure (OH) required upon hire.
Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) preferred.

Mansioni

Follow patient care from check in to check out.
Liaise between patient, physician or physician office staff.
Take patient history, triage, and documentation.
Design and educate patients on home exercise protocols per physician request.
Assist with in-office procedures and patient education for in-office procedures.
Brace and crutch fitting and DME education.
Triage patient messages, phone calls and questions appropriately.
Counsel patient regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and outcomes.
Support Rehabilitation clinic operations to optimize patient throughput.
Support Rehabilitation Services patients as directed by the Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist.
Perform Athletic Trainer outreach staff roles for offsite event coverage.
