Job summary

Virtua Health in New Jersey is seeking a full-time Certified Athletic Trainer to join our orthopedic clinic team in a high-volume setting. You will work with physicians, assist with exams, and help manage patient care from intake to discharge.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in a health-related field, 1–3 years of athletic training experience, and NATA BOC certification with NJ licensure. BLS CPR certification is also needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of athletic trainer experience.
• Bachelor's degree in health-related field is required.
• NATA BOC certification and NJ licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between patients and physicians.
• Prepare patients for exams with history and physical.
• Record data in EMR and maintain patient files.
• Maintain clinic flow and prepare for next patient.
• Explain treatment plans clearly in writing and verbally.
• Perform casting, splinting, wound care, and assist with braces and crutches.
