Under general supervision by clinical leadership, the Athletic Trainer provides athletic training and clinical support services in sports medicine and orthopedics. The role functions as a liaison between providers and local athletes at collegiate and high school youth programs, working closely with the Physical Therapy department. If the Athletic Trainer has obtained the Orthopedic Technologist Certification (OTC), they will also provide surgical assisting duties as directed by the orthopedic surgeon.
