Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an Athletic Trainer to provide on-field and training room coverage for athletes in Murray, Utah, with duties across schools and community events. Responsibilities include rehabilitation, first-aid, keeping records, injury prevention education, and collaboration with coaches, administrators, and families.

Qualifications

• Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work.
• Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Carries out rehabilitation program after evaluation and treatment planning with other medical providers.
• Assesses and administers first-aide during practices and events with physician referral when needed.
• Oversees the operation of the Athletic Training room ensuring supplies and safety.
• Communicates with coaches, administration, parents, athletes, patients, and other staff.
• Maintains accurate records of evaluations, referrals, and treatments.
• Provides education on injury prevention, health literacy, nutrition, and mental health.
• Develops relationships with key stakeholders at assigned school or clinic.
• Ensures safe return-to-play criteria are met before participation.
