Job summary

The Northwest School in Seattle, WA is seeking a part-time Athletic Trainer for a 10-month schedule to support Upper School athletics. The role focuses on prevention, evaluation, and care of athletic injuries, and on communication with students, families, and medical providers.

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree, NATA certification, and CPR/First Aid/AED certification, with strong organization and communication skills and availability as directed by the Athletic Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and current NATA certification.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• Experience as athletic trainer at high school/college level preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work in a team in an independent‑school setting.
• Availability during hours and dates set by the Athletic Director.

Responsibilities

• Oversee athletic training coverage for Upper School athletes.
• Coordinate on-site athletic training coverage for home events and special events.
• Provide injury treatment, rehabilitation, and cognitive assessments; maintain records.
