Job summary

LMR Technical Group in Hawaii seeks an Athletic Trainer to support the Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) program. You will work alongside Soldiers on an interdisciplinary team to deliver injury prevention, clinical care, rehabilitation, and performance optimization.

This on-site role requires CAATE-accredited education, BOC-ATC certification, and state licensure, plus two years of military or related experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from CAATE-accredited program.
  • Passing score on the BOC Athletic Trainer exam with ATC credentials.
  • Unrestricted state license/registration to practice AT.
  • NPI number held.
  • Two years of AT work experience in the last three years.
  • Experience with active populations (military, etc.).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers with AED.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Background screening and pre-employment drug test.
  • Maintain professional credentials throughout employment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-duty services.
  • Collaborate daily with healthcare and performance professionals.
  • Provide immediate care for acute and chronic injuries.
  • Design rehab and prevention programs for military demands.
  • Support Soldier performance across H2F readiness domains.
  • Educate Soldiers and leaders on prevention, movement, and recovery.
  • Use Army-approved documentation to monitor outcomes and improve programs.
  • Participate in unit PT, field exercises, and multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Promote readiness, resilience, and long-term Soldier health.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
