Job summary

LMR Technical Group is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to support the Army's Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) program at Fort Polk, LA. You will work with Soldiers in an interdisciplinary team to deliver injury prevention, care, rehabilitation, and performance optimization services.

Ideal candidates hold CAATE-accredited degrees, BOC-AT credentials, and unrestricted state licensure, with 2 years of AT experience and an active US citizenship.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from a CAATE-accredited program.
  • BOC Athletic Trainer certification (ATC) and current credentials.
  • Unrestricted state license/registration/certification to practice AT.
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Two years of relevant AT experience in last three years.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-duty services.
  • Collaborate daily with Physical Therapists, Strength and Conditioning Coaches, Dietitians, Cognitive Performance Specialists, Occupational Therapists, and unit leadership.
  • Provide immediate care and clinical management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries.
  • Design and implement rehabilitation and injury prevention programs for military occupational demands.
  • Support Soldier performance across the five H2F readiness domains: Physical, Mental, Nutritional, Sleep, Spiritual.
  • Educate Soldiers and leaders on injury prevention, movement quality, recovery strategies, and performance optimization.
  • Utilize Army-approved documentation systems and data collection tools to monitor outcomes and support program improvement.
  • Participate in unit physical training, field exercises, educational events, and multidisciplinary case management meetings.
  • Promote a culture focused on readiness, resilience, and long-term Soldier health.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
