Job summary

Mayo Clinic seeks an Athletic Trainer to assist in prevention, assessment, treatment, and reconditioning of athletic injuries, including taping and fitting equipment. The role involves delivering care within licensed scope and collaborating with referring providers and schools.

Primary duties include coverage at athletic events and in high school settings, with involvement in quality improvement and infection control programs across Mayo Clinic Health System locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science/Arts or Master’s degree in Athletic Training and certification by the Board of Certification and National Athletic Trainer’s Association.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Strong computer skills. Strong written and verbal skills.
• Current State of Wisconsin Athletic Trainer license and Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC).

Responsibilities

• Assist with prevention, assessment, treatment, and reconditioning of athletic injuries as per BOC guidelines.
• Demonstrates competency in taping, bracing, and fitting athletic equipment; carry out prescribed treatments.
• Deliver preventative care and treatment to athletes within licensed scope; liaison with schools and the community.
• Participate in infection control, equipment training, safety programs, and quality improvement projects.
